Approximately 250-350 sq.ft per gallon depending on application, wood texture, and porosity.

Area Preparation

Proper surface preparation is essential for the Olympic limited warranty to apply. Surface must be dry and clean. Remove all dust, dirt, mildew, oil, loose wood fibers, and other contaminants. Previous coatings must be completely removed prior to application, clean weathered, dirty, or mildewed surfaces with Olympic Deck Cleaner. After rinsing, ensure surface is free of standing water. Remove grade stamps or pencil marks by sanding.

Application

Apply to a small area and allow to dry to ensure acceptable appearance and penetration. Apply one thin coat with a high quality brush, paint/stain pad, or by spray equipment. When applying by spray always back-brush for best results. To help avoid lap marks apply to only a few boards at a time and maintain a wet edge.

Application Temperature

Apply when no precipitation is expected for 24 hours and when air and surface temperattures are 35 F - 90 F(2 C - 32 C) and will remain above 35 F for the next 24 hours. 

Drying Time

Normally dries in 24 hours when applied in temperatures of 50 F (10 C) to 85 F (29 C). Allow 24-48 hours of drying time before light foot traffic or replacing furniture.

Cleanup

Use soap and water to clean up tools.
